Calling all runners, joggers and city dwellers: Umm Al Emarat Park now has a Jogging Track

For you to breathe the fresh air, soak in the greenery, and go for the ultimate nature run.

On your marks, get set, and GO to Umm Al Emarat Park’s newly opened Green Jogging Track! With temperatures cooling, and surrounded by extensive flora and fauna with broadleaf and palm trees, indigenous and naturalised species, and over 200 existing mature trees over 20 years old, Umm Al Emarat Park is making 2020 a bit better for runners by opening it’s 1.2km Green Jogging Track.
Recently inaugurated on 22 October, and starting from the Promenade all the way to the Amphitheatre, runners, joggers, and even city dwellers that just want to enjoy a nice walk in nature, can now head down to the Park to enrich their wellness and connect with nature – bringing together the two most renowned antidotes to stress, and creating the ultimate happiness-boosting activity.
Runners seeking to keep track of their progress will also be able to utilize the distance markers set up across the Park’s jogging track.
Rasha Kablawi, Head of Umm Al Emarat Park’s Corporate Affairs and Communications Department, said: “We are excited to launch the Green Jogging Track at Umm Al Emarat Park, adding yet another wellness activity for our community to enjoy in nature.”
Kablawi added: “We take a lot of pride in being a natural space for visitors to invest in their health through play, exercise and relaxation, and we look forward to seeing the jogging track act as a scenic green space for runners and joggers to work their bodies while they relax their minds.”
Fitness enthusiasts that prefer adrenaline-pumping group classes, or workouts that require the use of equipment can also break a sweat in the newly opened Peak Fitness Gym located in Umm Al Emarat Park. It is worth noting that a Peak Gym membership will be required to have access to the gym’s facilities.
Umm Al Emarat Park is slowly opening back up to see people run its tracks, children play in its explorative learning facilities, families gather in its diverse dining experiences and city-dwellers connect with nature and animals in its beautiful botanical gardens, and animal barn. As such, it is important to remain vigilant in taking all the precautionary measures to safeguard the health of visitors, employees, and the community at large. The Park has set a limited Park capacity, and included thermal cameras and disinfectant tunnels. Guests are also requested to adhere to the safety measures, wear masks at all times, and follow instructions from the Park’s team.
Recently reopened areas, activities and events include the Animal Barn, Water Splash Area, the Park’s train, and Cinema in the Park – all of which follow specified capacities to follow COVID-19 safety measures.
