Abu Dhabi to host the largest fair for early childhood development to be held at Umm Al Emarat Park The event’s theme is “Learn by Playing... Develop by Learning”

⦁   Organized by the Abu Dhabi Early Childhood Authority, the Fair will run from November 23 to 25
⦁   The Fair will feature innovative, educational, and entertainment activities to support and enhance the physical and mental development of children

ABU DHABI, UAE, 8 November 2023: Abu Dhabi Early Childhood Authority (ECA) has announced the first edition of the “Abu Dhabi Early Childhood Development Fair” under the theme: “Learn by Playing... Develop by Learning”, to begin on 23 November until 25 November from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. at the Umm Al Emarat Park. The Fair aims to create an interactive, informative and inspiring environment that improves children’s cognitive abilities, enhances their social skills, and allows them to reach their full potential. 
 

The Fair, which is the largest of its kind in the country in early childhood development, will include a wide range of distinct innovative activities, experiences and events that aim to support and enhance the physical and mental development of children in early childhood. These include more than 40 interactive, cognitive and entertainment workshops, 21 theatrical performances and 10 discussion sessions that will talk about various topics related to health and nutrition, child protection, early childhood care and education, family support, as well as events and activities for children of determination.

His Excellency Eng. Thamer Rashid Al Qasimi, Executive Director of the Special Projects and Partnerships Sector at ECA , said: “We are keen to empower parents and caregivers by providing them with the necessary experience, knowledge, and resources to develop their capabilities and enable them to raise the health level of children, in whom we see the future of our nation.” 

H.E. Eng. Al Qasimi added: “This Fair is the result of our cooperation with more than 12 strategic partners and 42 service providers to organize an innovative educational, developmental, and entertaining platform through which many government, private, and third-sector institutions can showcase their latest services and specialized experiences in the field of early childhood development. It is an excellent opportunity for families and children to explore early childhood development offers and services outside of school because these extra-curricular activities contribute to the enhancement of children’s physical, mental, and psychosocial development in a fun, innovative, and interactive outdoor environment.”

In emphasizing the significance of the Fair, Rasha Kablawi, Director of Corporate Communication for Sinyar Holding and spokesperson for Umm Al Emarat Park, expressed, "The Abu Dhabi Early Childhood Development Fair embodies the core ethos of Umm Al Emarat Park, where we are dedicated to fostering holistic growth for children. By seamlessly blending play and education, we aim to contribute significantly to the comprehensive development of the next generation."

Rasha further added, "Hosting the event at Umm Al Emarat Park is not just an honor but a testament to our commitment to providing an exceptional venue that aligns with the values of the Fair. It reflects our shared vision for creating a nurturing environment that supports early childhood development, thereby laying the groundwork for a brighter and more inclusive future."

The Fair will provide parents and caregivers a chance to form strong bonds with their children by participating in inclusive activities, thereby enhancing effective communication and strengthening relationships between family members. 

The ECA event will include more than 50 pavilions, including the Family Care Authority, the National Library and Archives, the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, the Department of Community Development, the Department of Education and Knowledge, the Department of Economic Development, the Department of Municipalities and Transport, the Family Development Foundation, the Department of Culture and Tourism, Abu Dhabi Ports, Louvre Abu Dhabi, and the Abu Dhabi Media Company, in addition to 42 service providers.
