Among its many features, Umm Al Emarat Park houses a Botanic Garden planted with over 200 regional plant species, many of which have cultural and historical significance, as well as a calming natural pond.
While it has many species from the United Arab Emirates and surrounding countries, the Botanic Garden also includes others from Africa, Australia, Latin America, and the United States.
Water features in the Botanic Garden introduce water as a natural element. Pools have been created with natural stone and provide a habitat for exotic plants. The pools are connected with small rivers that enable water to cascade down from pool to pool, making more traditional use of water than some of the park s more modern water features.
